Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com)

Introduction

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) is a 3-year full time professional degree program affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University. The program is designed to cultivate business acumen among students and aims to develop various skills, to make students capable to be an effective part of the Commercial organisation in various capacities. The B.Com. Programme is designed to impart business and management skills to aspiring students for a better understanding of the corporate world and its business activities. It would help students plan their business activity properly in various capacities. Some of the popular electives available in the college are - Banking and Finance, Business administration, Marketing, Cost and works accounting, Business Entrepreneurship, Business Statistics etc

Objectives

• To develop conceptual understanding the fundamentals of financial Accounting, business economics, Communication skill through various languages, Cost and Works accounting, Banking and finance, Entrepreneurial skills, Marketing, Principles of management, Business laws, Advanced Accounting and taxation aspects, Economics and mathematical skills etc. required to cater the requirement of the emerging Business world.
• To impart the various skills like accounting skills, managerial skills, communication skills and to make overall personality development of the students, through practical approach and exposure and make them competent enough to face the global challenges in the contemporary business scenario.
• To develop among the students the qualities of an entrepreneur and make them equipped to formulate modern business strategies.

The B. Com Program is a three-year full time undergraduate program. The details of the courses are provided below.

Intake capacity

The intake capacity of the B. Com is of 120 students. The college follows the reservation policy as per government of Maharashtra and the Savitribai Phule Pune University norms for the admissions to these classes.. Seats for various optional papers are limited; therefore students should exercise their options cautiously.

Admission Procedure

A Student has to obtain/ download the Admission Form in prescribed format from the College website. Students are requested to update themselves of the merit list on the College website and seek admission by payment of fees (online). The admission is confirmed only after the fees are paid in full and subject to submission of necessary documents.The admission form duly filled should be submitted to college along with following documents in original/ scanned version.

• School leaving certificate / Transfer Certificate.
• Address proof
• Original mark sheet (12th Std Mark Sheet or equivalent for Bachelor Courses )
• Passport size photos

Students are requested to update themselves of the merit list on the College website and seek admission by payment of fees (online). The admission is confirmed only after the fees are paid in full.

Bachelor of Science( B. Sc)

Introduction

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) is a three years full time degree course affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. In order to match our scientific education system with that of global standards, Savitribai Phule Pune University has introduced Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) from the academic year 2019 onwards for all Under- Graduate programmes under the faculty of Science. In CBCS, the minimum total no. of credits requirement is 132. These credits are distributed in 6 semesters. To obtain B.Sc. degree, students have to obtain additional 8 Credits by participating in various activities along with these Compulsory 132 credits.

In order to meet students’ demand and interest, our college offers variety of combinations of subjects at first and second year of B.Sc. Program. At third year Specialization subjects available are Botany Chemistry, Electronic Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology.

Eligibility

• Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) or its equivalent Examination with English and three Science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics etc. OR
• Three years Diploma in Pharmacy Course of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent OR
• Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) with English and Vocational subject of +2 level.

The B.Sc. Programme is a three-year full-time undergraduate program. The details of the course are provided as under.

B.Sc. First Year (F.Y.) (Semester I & II) Course structure

Following subject groups are offered by our college at First year B.Sc. Programme.

PCMS Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics

SCBZ Statistics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology

Students have to select any ONE group of 4 subjects from the above mentioned list of groups at the first year of B.Sc. Program. As Per CBCS students have to earn 44 credits in the First year.

Evaluation Process:

For each subject of 1.5 or 2 Credits, internal Assessment of 15 Marks and external Assessment of 35 Marks will be conducted separately for Semester I and Semester II.

B.Sc. Second Year (S.Y.) (Semester III & IV) Course structure

As Per CBCS students have to earn 44 credits in Second year. Out of the 4 subjects which student had opted at First Year, ANY THREE of the subjects can be continued for Second Year (S. Y.). Additionally two subjects i.e. Environment Awareness and Language Communication is compulsory at B.Sc. second year.

Evaluation Process:

For each subject of 1.5 or 2 Credits, internal Assessment of 15 Marks and external Assessment of 35 Marks will be conducted separately for Semester III and Semester IV.

B.Sc. Third Year (T.Y.) (Semester V & VI) Course Structure

As Per CBCS students have to earn 44 credits in Third year. Following subject specializations are offered by our college.

• Botany
• Chemistry
• Mathematics
• Statistics
• Physics
• Zoology
