NSS

SPPU created Guinness World Record of in 2 hrs 38 minutes and 30 seconds with total of 16731 Distribution of Saplings (Neem) in presence of Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. Devendraji Fadnavis.

As part NSS SPPU our NSS Unit of PCCOE&R Ravet involved in the event with 115 NSS Volunteers. A total of 16,731 saplings of Neem were distributed to National Social Service (NSS) volunteers in the SPPU campus, in the presence of chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and vice-chancellor Nitin Karmalkar. We are proud to being part of this event. Our volunteers were present in the event in white T-Shirts.

Tree Plantation Activity –1st July to 30th July 2019

(As part of PCCOER, NSS unit activity – A.Y. 2019 –20).

PCCOER celebrated Tree Plantation Activity –1st July to 30th July 2019.

As part of the tree plantation activity, PCCOER NSS unit successfully planted more than 110 saplings.

In the beginning, Principal Prof. Dr. H.U. Tiwari motivated for planting a saplings. Around110 saplings were planted in two different locations in Month of July 2019. About 70 saplings were at Harit wari activity conducted at Nigdi road Near Bhakti Shakti Chowk ( In defence area), While remaining saplings were planted in Dehu road Police station.

All NSS volunteers were actively Participated in this activity. Along with students some faculty members also participated enthusiastically.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. ( Ravet Bridge and river Area)

As per given Schedule by NSS and SPPU We have visited Ravet Bridge and Pavana river area and Performed Swachhata activity Under Swachha Bharat Abhiyan. We have Cleaned all surrounding of Ravet Bridge and Pavana river area. Around 25 bags plastic have been collected and 30 Volunteers of PCCOER are involved in this activity.

“Rashtriya Ekta Diwas ”– 31st October 2019

(As part of PCCOER, NSS unit activity – A.Y. 2019 –20).

NSS Department of Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering and Research has Celebrated “ Rashtriya Ekta Diwas ” very successfully on Occasion of SardarVallbhai Patel birth anniversary. All volunteers of NSS, students and staff have participated in this activity. All the students have taken the pledge for Unity.

All the volunteers have motivated the all students of college by giving pledge of Unity on Occasion of Sardar Vallbhai Patel birth anniversary.

NSS Winter Camp Report

NSS Special Camp – 20 January to 26 January 2019

(As part of PCCOER, NSS Unit activity – A.Y. 2018 –19).

PCCOER NSS Unit has organized NSS Special Camp from 20th Jan.2019 to 26th Jan. 2019. As part of the special camp, PCCOER NSS unit successfully worked on Awareness of Schemes
In the beginning, Principal Prof. Dr. H.U. Tiwari guided us for better management of special camp activities.

Day 1:

All the Volunteers Participated in preparing History of Villages by doing survey of village. The first day of camp is utilized for collecting and making report on History of village. The head of this activity is Miss Chinmayee Chitinis.

Day 2 : Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. (Temple and Gram Swachhata)

All the volunteers have participated in gram Swachhata abhiyan. They have collected around 16 big bags of plastic from different part of the village.

Day 3 : Tree Planation

Around 25 saplings were planted in three different locations during special camp . Some of the saplings were planted in Z.P. School campus, While remaining saplings were planted at nearest Temple.
All NSS volunteers were actively Participated in this activity. Along with students some faculty members also participated enthusiastically.

Day 4: Scheme awareness.

As social responsibilities all the volunteers have given training and awareness to the people of different Schemes available to them. Also students gave the information regarding the website www.mahalabharthi.in and how to do registration on this website. As well as volunteers have done many registration for the villagers for different schemes available to them.

Day 5 : Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti Programme

On Next day NSS Unit has organised a program for villages in collaboration with Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti (Chakan Unit) for fighting against superstition related with different magic and snake bite. Mr. Atul Sawakhande has successful in convincing villages about different superstitions.

Last day of camp we involved in celebration of Republic day 26th jan. 2019 at Z.P. Primary School. Also Cultural programme have been organised by our students. At the time of Cultural programme we have Spread massage of Cleanliness and Sanitation as well as awareness of digitization.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on occasion of 150th year of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

As part of the 150th year of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on the 24/09/2018, we at the PCCOER, NSS unit in association with the Board of Students’ Development, SPPU, Pune, conducted an Swachhata drive in our college campus and also in adopted village.

Elocution Competition

As part of the 150th year of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on the 28/09/18, we at the PCCOER, Art Circle and Students’ Development Cell, in association with the Board of Students’Development, SPPU, Pune, conducted an elocution competition for FE & SE students of all departments of our college.

In addition to the celebrations, the objectives of this competition were:

• To demonstrate their knowledge and skills by presenting their speech.
• To increase Knowledge of student.
• To improve Self Presentation Skills.

For the competition students prepared speech in Marathi/Hindi/English language for 10 minutes. The topics of the competition were-

1. Books are always better than movies.
2. Child Labour
3. What do happiness means?

The competition helped students to increase their

1. Student’s confidence level increased.
2. Student’s communication skills improved.
3. Student’s Clarity and fluency of speech improved.
4. They were motivated.

Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti

As part of the 150th year of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on the 02/10/18, We PCCOER, NSS Unit in association with the Board of Students’ Development, SPPU, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti. On Occasion of Gandhi Jayanti Pricipal sir has felicitated all the Swachhata karmchari which are working in our college and keeping the campus clean and sanitized.

In this event principal sir has given message and motivated to all the students and staff members about keeping our campus clean and to do the duty of spreading the importance awareness of cleanliness.

Blood Donation Camp

NSS Department of Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering and Research has Organized “Blood Donation Camp” very successfully with help of “Sasoon Blood Bank” Pune. All volunteers of NSS, students and staff have participated in this activity. The total 134 blood bags have been collected.

Celebration of 4th international Yoga Day – 21st June 2018

(As part of PCCOER, NSS unit activity – A.Y. 2018 –19)

Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering and Research was celebrated 4th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2018. As part of the celebration, PCCOER NSS unit was successfully conducted Yoga session and meditation for students.

In the beginning, All HODs and Wasim Shaikh were inaugurated the programme by doing Saraswati Poojan. Prof. Mahendra salunkhe delivered speech regarding importance of yoga in day today life.
After Salunkhe sir address, Wasim Shaikh has been feliciated by giving trophy for his achievments in different yoga competetion at national level.
Then Actual yoga session was started by Wasim Shaikh. They conducted Four yoga sessions for all SE, TE and BE students as well as for faculty. Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya have conducted Meditation session after yoga session. About 400 students and 30 Faculty were participated in different yoga session and meditation.

(As part of PCCOER, Induction Activity – A.Y. 2018 –19).

Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering and Research was conducted Yoga and Meditation workshop for First year engineering students as part of Induction programme.

Mr.Wasim Shaikh and his team members has conducted different yoga sessions for First year engg. Students. Daily three Yoga sessions have been conducted by Mr. Wasim Shaikh and his team members. About 300 students and 10 Faculty were participated in different yoga session and meditation.
